Smelly Dive. On first entering the Belmar, the first thing I noticed was the smell...rather like backed up sewage and urine. The place, which is more of a midsized hallway than a bar, was extremely overcrowed, with what are known as "B"uglies", AKA Binghamton Uglies. After waiting for a ""ridicuously"" long time, because the bartender was too busy scratching herself to take our order. When we finally did get to order a drink, I got a rum & coke and my friend got a beer on tap. They both smelled and tasted stagnant!!! They Definately charge Way to MUCH to be serving disease. This place was totally HIT, and I wouldn't be seen there again if I was Paid!!! It's so gross you could get kicked out for washing your hands!!! A practice that none of the bartenders do by the way. DIRTY!!!

Classic Dive Bar. The Belmar is one of the dive bars of downtown Binghamton. Cramped, and loud, it's everything you would expect from a locals bar. Drinks are simple, your not getting any elaborate mixed drinks. Shots and beer are you best option. Some college kids go here on their way to and from the State street bars. I have been there twice and wouldn't go a third.

Smells like wee. Drinks are expensive and really small,

WAY too crowded, I don't know why you would want a bar that small,

Smells HORRIBLE, like there was a sewage backup in the bathroom mixed with urinal scent, at times it was over-powering, I don't know how they people who work there can stand it.

UNCOMFORTABLE is the word to describe this bar.
