Amazing!.
I just ordered from the Taj for the second time FROM ENDICOTT and they made a special trip for me both times, it was very nice and unnecessary of them to do.
Although the food is quite expensive.. I must admit that it is well worth it. They give you lots of containers with the spices and sauces that are just AMAZING in flavor.
Best meal I've ever had hands down.
Super Great!.
We were road-tripping back from Ottawa and GPS'ed this place, and all we can say is WOW!!!!
The service was unparalleled and the food was to die for.
I now envy the townsfolk who are able to come here we don't have a place that good here in VA :(
They took our order over the phone, we ordered :
1 Mutton (goat) Briyani (rice) 2 aloo (potato) paratha (bread) {think a pitta stuffed with spiced potatoes} YUM YUM!!!!!
3 samosa - veggie.
The owner went out of his way to make sure our food was hot and ready when we pulled in. Most Indian places are cheap so-so food, that was made a day or two in advance.
Not here! It was fresh, spiced just right, and the owner even invested in warmer bags to keep things hot until they are picked up! In all my husbands years he has never seen an Indian place take that kind of care!
The owner threw in a curry bowl on top of it all for extra flavor! And said to "just try it." He was right it was the second best curry I have ever had, Hubby's mother's is still #1.
My hubby is Indian, I put the "C" in Caucasian... finding an Indian spot that makes us both happy as not happened in the last 5 years, until last night. We left so stuffed we could barley drive :D
If you knew us you would understand that, that is really saying something. I'm picky and he is a real foodie.
Give them a try. The prices are decent the food is to die for. They have taken to adding a slight American twist to the traditional Indian fare ( if you want it) which for us was sublime.
*I will say to pass on the tamarind sauce it was a little on the vinegary side. That was the only thing that we did not eat. Pfft we even ended up fighting over the Rita, and I hate Rita... LOL.
very impressed. i heard that this lace was in my area, i have not had a lamb gyro since i left w. Germany in 1983. there are many imitations but Shakeel has a wonderful menu. He is very kind and is such a pleasure to talk with, he walked me thru the makings of some of the other food items they have, i am going back for sure. the gyro: fantastic! food also came out very fast.
Excellent. I absolutely love their food! Every month I treat my self to some lamb biryani, and a lamb gyro. Very filling, and tastes excellent. Perfect for a person who likes a little spice!
New Yorks best food.
Everything there smelled so good. As soon as i tried the gyro platter ( combo of gyro meat, rice, salad, and a bread)
my mouth started watering and i wanted some more. after that big entree i had a mango lassi( a sweet yogurt drink made with natural mango) and it cooled my stomach down. The bill was so cheap and the service was so excellent. I recommend this restaurant for anyone who has a big apetite and want a cheap bill. THE BEST FOOOD EVER
Good place to spice up your taste buds!. the gyro is wonderful.. i am an indian, and I can tell you that they serve quite good indian food if not exactly what indian food is. And do try the "samosa" even if you have never ate one, coz it is super-snacky, and very delightful!.. Also you could try the Mango Lassi... AND the goat curry... I simply love the food, and it reminds me of my home.. and my land... So if you are interested in Indian food, or just simply want to try something new.. can sure go for Taj.
Great service - delicious food.
The curry chicken is to die for! Made fresh daily, it's the best curry chicken I've had so far - even the rice is fantastic.
The gentleman behind the counter was extremely pleasant and helpful. This is a great place to stop in for take out.
Undecided.. I went here for Indian food, expecting a dish similar to what is served at Moghul's in Vestal. Maybe this is more traditional Indian food, I'm not sure. The rice and the curry sauce were good, but the chicken was more fat and bones than chicken. I'd like to give it one more try, but will steer clear of the chicken.
Great customer service and food. best thing i aten in a long time. I love their food both indian and american it all tates good I really think u should go there. my friend told me to go there and it was promising. Me and My fiancee went there and both ate gyros together we really enjoyed next time in Binghamton I know where I am going. THE owner is really nice
