THE BEST You have got to go here!!!!!!!. I live in Syracuse, NY, and when my son 2 years ago started out at BU as a freshman, I looked up Italian restaurants on-line in Binghamton. When I come into town to visit him (3-4 times a year) we always go to Grande’s NEVER anywhere else. It's SPECIAL!!! Everything we have tried including the dinner, and the lunch buffet has always been exceptionally prepared and fresh. The staff has also always been very pleasant and suggests things when asked. They are obviously knowledgeable as to what the menu has to offer etc. We have never had a bad meal at Grande's. The homemade sauces are to die for. The ceiling light show is also very nice. I can't recommend another Italian restaurant in Binghamton because I don't plan on visiting any others - why look anywhere else when it's as high a quality restaurant as it is. Keep up the great food and service! To the entire staff, keep up the good work because it is noticed and appreciated!!!! Thank you, GPS.

Too many problems. What a disappointing experience. My son had eaten here before and was looking forward to the salad bar. We can't understand that a house salad that usually costs about $3.50 was included with the entree but the salad bar that costs about $4.50 was not only not included but we couldn't just pay the additional $1.00 and get the salad bar.

So we ordered 4 entrees with the house salads. My son requested that his chicken not be sauteed in butter because he can't have butter and his girlfriend SPECIFIED THAT HE IS LACTOSE INTOLERANT. She looked the waiter straight in the eye when she said it. She ordered chicken franchese. He brought her a dish with shrimp and mussels. Wrong!!! Then he brought the chicken franchese with the sauce on the side and she doesn't believe it was franchese. It was full of garlic. She didn't taste the lemon, butter and wine.

He brought my son his chicken order which was very obviously made in a cream sauce. When we said he can't have a cream sauce and that he is lactose intolerant and was told that, the waiter said he never heard it. We asked him to take that dish away. He didn't seem very upset that my son was sitting there eating nothing. He offered my son the salad bar but he had already had his salad. I told him we would not pay for the dish and he didn't charge us.

In fairness my strawberry chicken was good although it was supposed to have lump crabmeat which it didn't. The salads were supposed to have cheddar cheese and didn't either.

My husband said his chicken parmigiana was okay.

It was a very pretty place but the waiter was a disaster and we can't understand if the restaurant includes a salad with the dinner, who would pay extra for a salad bar??? In the time we were there we did not see one person at that salad bar.

Very good salad bar, amazing entrees, cozy atmosphere. My husband and I have been going to Grande for years whenever we are in Binghamton. They have many entrees there that I have not had anywhere else. One is a chicken dish in a dill sauce with sundried tomatoes and mushrooms that is really, really good. I found the portions to be more than one person can eat. As mentioned, their salad bar and side salad is very good.

Great Food and Pizza. Grande's has great food and a wonderful staff. Grande's Pizza probably has the best pizza in Binghamton, personally I try to avoid it on Friday night because they are so busy. They have a nice salad bar and my personal favorite their PIZZA BUFFET! YUM!

may want to read this. For my last dining experience at grandes was good food, although some things that i did not like was that i saw a small 4 legged creature running across the floor while i was eating. The other thing is the owners son is always behind the cash register and had some friends over. they were verry annoying and loud and the owners son was talking to other workers and threw food on the floor while one of them was mopping. also this one song they played skipped and it sounded very bad and annoying, i had to listen to a broken CD for half an hour.

SOOOO GOOD!. All I can say about Grande's is - EXCELLENT! They have an amazing marinara sauce which no one in the area can compare to. The only thing I didn't find here that most Italian restaurants have, however, is homemade pasta. Though they do import from Italy...it's not the same.
